A new online video ad has gone viral by appealing to high-rise office workers. The spot by Ultimat Vodka had more than 1.8 million views and close to 300 "Likes" within eight days of being posted to YouTube. The ad plays off of the work schedules of white collar employees, imploring them to get out of the office and go get a drink. In the video ad, a man in a suit descends the side of a skyscraper in a window washer's chassis. When he reaches each floor, he holds up signs to windows with slogans such as "Cheers to less work and more play" and "Let's drink to you getting out of here before 6." As the signs are revealed, the viewer watches the expressions of unsuspecting workers at each floor. At the end of the video, the ad shows Ultimat Vodka offering free drinks in an outdoor setting to those who were working in the building. Ultimat Vodka, in this online video ad, is targeting the overworked business demographic. The spot plays into the findings of a Harris Interactive poll, which showed that 70 percent of people wanted summer Friday benefits and only 12 percent of workers received such benefits, Marketing Daily reported. The company is also targeting this demographic by running ads on finance websites on weekends. |
