Redwood City, Calif. – June 20, 2013 – YuMe, a leading provider of digital video brand advertising solutions, has appointed industry leaders Mitchell Habib and Adriel Lares to the company’s Board of Directors. Habib and Lares bring to the board more than 30 combined years of executive leadership experience, driving innovation across industries.
In their current positions, Habib serves as Chief Operating Officer of Nielsen, a global information and measurement company, while Lares functions as Chief Financial Officer for Lookout, a world leader in mobile security. “Our board will greatly benefit from this wealth of expertise being added to an already deep pool of talent,” said Jayant Kadambi, Co-Founder and CEO, YuMe. “As trusted leaders and proven winners in their own careers, we are excited for both Mitchell and Adriel to join us in guiding YuMe’s success in 2013 and beyond.”
In addition to Habib’s current role at Nielsen, his experience includes a variety of Global Chief Information Officer positions at General Electric Corporation within GE Aircraft Engines Services, GE Information Technology Services and GE Healthcare, among others. Lares recently served as the Business Unit Leader of Hewlett-Packard’s 3PAR Storage division and led 3PAR from initial product launch to international expansion, growing revenue to an annual run rate of more than $200 million. “As a financial leader with a background in tech, I’ve seen what it takes for companies to be successful," said Lares. "I am thrilled to join YuMe’s board and look forward to contributing to the company’s pursuit of continued success."
Habib earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising/Journalism and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Lares holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University.
